The Journey Begins

Hello and thanks for joining!

We’ve just begun our First Grade year of home education using A Gentle Feast curriculum and we couldn’t be more excited. In the past, I’ve used the Peaceful Press curriculum (Peaceful Preschool, Playful Pioneers for Kindergarten). I plan to use Habitat Schoolhouse (Pre-K) and the Ambleside Online booklists for my younger learners. If my child was ready (and my firstborn was), I used All About Learning for phonics and learning to read. A combination of all these things gave us a beautiful start to our homeschool journey before starting formal lessons with A Gentle Feast at age six.

I am currently reading through all six volumes of Charlotte Mason’s work and incorporating her philosophy into our homeschooling practices. In this space, I hope to share resources, rhythms, and homeschooling encouragement as we navigate our own journey alongside you.
